Transport and travel services are offered as part of the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Core Supports category, which is designed to provide funding for essential everyday activities. The transport service is offered to NDIS participants who have a disability that significantly affects their ability to use public transport, and who require assistance to get to appointments, work, school, or other essential activities.
The transport services provided under the NDIS can include transportation to medical appointments, community participation activities, work, and education. It can also include assistance in accessing public transport, such as taxis or buses, or providing transport via a dedicated vehicle or other means. However, it cannot be used to pay a family member for transportation.

The transport services provided by Ream Community Services can include assistance in accessing public transport, such as taxis or buses, or providing transport via a dedicated vehicle or other means. We work closely with participants and their families to ensure that their transport needs are met, and that they receive the services and support that they require to achieve their goals.
Ream Community Services aims to provide personalized, high-quality transport services that enable people with disabilities to live their lives as independently as possible. Ream Community Services can assist individuals in developing confidence with independent travel by providing customized transport services and arranging public transport training. Additionally, the NDIS may fund travel with a care worker provided by Ream Community Services to accompany individuals to community events or daily activities under the Assistance with Social and Community Participation category.
Eligibility for Ream Community Services’ transport services is based on the participant’s NDIS plan and individual circumstances.
