Core Supports
Core support is a type of funding provided under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to support the day-to-day living needs of people with disabilities. Core support is designed to help NDIS participants achieve their goals, enhance their quality of life, and increase their independence.
Core Supports
Core support is provided based on the individual needs of NDIS participants, and the amount of funding allocated to core support depends on the participant’s individual circumstances, goals, and support needs. Participants can access their core support funding for up to 12 months, after which their NDIS plan is reviewed and updated as required.
NDIS participants can use their core support funding to access a range of services, including in-home support, personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, and community access. Participants can also use their funding to purchase equipment and aids to support their daily living needs, such as mobility aids or communication devices.
